At Gay City: Seattle's LGBTQ Center, we serve as the hub for LGBTQ people seeking wellness, resources and community.
All of these are preferences, but not required
- Experience or passion in website maintenance and development
- Knowledge and familiarity with UX, and the ability to work with queer communities intersectionally, particularly with regard to race, class, gender, age and ability is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to serve all segments of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities and culture, especially including mindfulness and respect with regard to people’s pronouns and access needs
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Maintain and update a WordPress website
- Comfort with HTML, CSS, and other programming codes (not required)
- Present design specs and work with the marketing team to adjust the design and layout of web pages.
- Troubleshoot website problems
- Monitor website traffic
- Determine, develop, and test plugins
- Stay up-to-date on technology and update plugins
