Are you looking to volunteer at an organization with an opportunity to make a difference?
Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and a clear reading voice?
We’re looking for a volunteer at our National Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale in the Communications Department. You will be reading and making audio recordings of our quarterly magazines and children’s book for our Multiple Sclerosis patients to enjoy!
This is strictly a volunteer position, it is unpaid and not an internship.Persons who are interested in service hours or giving back to the community are welcome to apply.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Must be willing to work 3-5 hours a week, Monday to Friday anywhere between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Must have a clear voice and read fluidly
- Must be honest, courteous and personable with good interpersonal skills and a friendly manner.
- Highly Organized
- Very Detail-oriented

Mission Statement
The Mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is to strive to ensure the best quality of life for those coping with multiple sclerosis through the development of support services; to educate the public about options for treatment; to aid research in finding the cure, treatment, and causes of multiple sclerosis; to discover and support traditional and non-traditional healing modalities in the effort to cure and treat multiple sclerosis; and to heighten public awareness of multiple sclerosis and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in order to elicit public support, caring, and understanding for those diagnosed with the illness.
Description
As a predominantly service-based, non-profit organization, our primary mission is to ensure the best quality of life for those coping with MS by providing comprehensive support and educational programs. We strive to help make A Brighter Tomorrow by supporting research into its cause and cure as well as investigations of various medical and complementary treatment options. The scope of our services goes beyond that of a clearinghouse of pamphlets. Our priority is to serve with empathy, resourcefulness, and responsibility. We are here to listen, assist, and empower.
