Join Pikes Peak United Way for a Poverty Simulator on Thursday, May 23 from 1:00-3:30pm.
We are looking for about 10-15 people to play the roles of agencies during the simulation. "Families" will be made up of District 11 staff learning about living in poverty and the difficulties that come with accessing agencies and resources.
As a agency roleplayer, you will be assigned to "work" at an agency/organization like the bank, childcare center, community action agency, and more, interacting with families who need your resources.
This is an eye-opening and thrilling experience great for anyone who works with those in poverty, wishes to learn more about societal challenges for people facing poverty, or is looking for an exciting volunteer activity,
