Direct Patient Opportunities with Hospice Company
Volunteering with Homestead Hospice: Patient volunteers provide companionship to patients, respite for caregivers, and support to our families and patients through various Homestead Hospice programs, including our Memory Care Cafe. Volunteer hours are flexible, and we work with volunteers to shape their experience and preferences. Our office serves patients in Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth, and Gwinnett Counties, and volunteers are assigned to geographically convenient locations.
About Homestead Hospice: Homestead Hospice is a premier hospice provider headquartered in Atlanta with offices in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Arizona. Our principals founded Homestead Hospice to provide hospice care that went above and beyond the basics to address the needs of patients and their families faced with terminal illness.
At Homestead Hospice, we strive to help our patients and their families by coordinating our care to involve the entire family through counseling, spiritual support, and access to our team of professionals. Terminal illness affects the entire family structure. Adjustment, mental process, self awareness, acceptance and grief are major parts of the dying process.
Our trained Social Workers and Therapists are available to work with the entire family in dealing with these issues. We employ fully-qualified staff to help with financial assistance, patient placement, care centers, funeral arrangements and we are always there just to talk.
