Help make life-changing wishes come true for local children with critical illnesses by volunteering at the Kentucky Hope is Essential Gala.
It's one of our biggest celebration of the year! As a volunteer for the Kentucky Gala, you will support our staff in managing event day needs such as set up, tear down, overseeing silent auction, fundraising activities and more.
As a volunteer you will hear inspiring wish stories, and help bring hope, strength, and joy to Kentucky kids through the power of a wish. Wish kids are counting on you now more than ever. Your support of the Kentucky Gala ensures we're able to grant the wish of every eligible child.
Wishes deliver hope and hope is essential! Together, we can shine a light of hope and joy to children in their darkest days, bringing them strength for tomorrow!
We will continue to monitor guidance from national and international public health and government organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and U.S. State Department, and are working closely with the National Make-A-Wish Medical Advisory Council. We’re doing all we can to safely move forward with plans for our premier yearly event.

Since our chapter's inception in 1983, we have granted wishes to more than 12,000 children with critical illnesses in Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. We have six regional offices in the tri-state area: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Toledo.
