The Salvation Army Flemington Corps is looking for volunteers for it's Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Food Service Program provided free healthy meals to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months when school is not in session
The Summer Lunch Club Helper is responsible for providing a safe, clean and comfortable area for eating and enjoying meals. You will:
Prepare and serve meals
Encourage the children to try new foods
Clean the site before and after serving the meal
Prepare and serve the meal according to State and local health and safety standards
Training is provided
We are looking for volunteers who:
Enjoy working with children
have Leadership skills
high energy

Description
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division has been assisting New Jersey residents since 1880. Services and programs include food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the homeless, food pantry/feeding programs, opportunities for underprivileged children, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled and many more services for those in need.
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division currently has 28 Corps Worship & Community Centers throughout the State, 65 Service Units, adult rehabilitation centers, a residential camp and an active Emergency Disaster Services program.
