Are you passionate about making a difference in young lives? The Chrysalis Program is seeking a dedicated Transportation Volunteer to help ensure our students can attend Second Saturday Sessions, where they build valuable skills and find community.

Details:

  • Role: Assist with picking up and dropping off students from various locations around the city.
  • Schedule: Second Saturdays (February - June 2025). Sessions run from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
  • Commitment: Volunteers would ride alongside another team member during the route.
  • Support Provided: Gas expenses will be reimbursed.

The Chrysalis Program cultivates self-love and acceptance, instill purpose, and support the well-being of black women, girls, and families through wellness, life skills, and creative arts programming.

Description

The Chrysalis Program seeks to reduce or eliminate the effects of childhood trauma for African American girls and their families on Chicago's South Side and beyond.

The Chrysalis Program creates safe spaces for girls to heal, learn and grow by offering Wellness Workshops, Counseling, Life Skill Classes, Creative Arts Lessons, Parent Classes, Enrichment Field Trips, Mentorship and Community Events.

​The Chrysalis Program is unique because it takes a holistic approach to empowering; teaching both life skills and coping skills that gradually improves the quality of life for participants and their families.
