On Saturday, August 24, 2019 the Raleigh/Durham Afro-Caribbean Association (RDACA) presents the 7th Annual CaribMask Carnival, where Downtown Fayetteville Street will be adorned with beautiful Caribbean carnival costumes, as masquerades parade down into the CaribMask Festival Village. The Festival Village will be home to authentic Caribbean cuisine, arts & crafts vendors, live performances and more...
We need volunteers for 2-4 hour shifts throughout the day, to assist in the following areas:

  • Stage and Production
  • Parade
  • Tent/Hospitality
  • Set-up and Breakdown

Description

The Raleigh/Durham Afro-Caribbean Association (RDACA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization seeking to improve the Triangle Community through an improved cross-cultural understanding and integration of the Afro-Caribbean Community. Our main goals are

1. Be a platform of education and advocacy to mobilize and empower the Afro-Caribbean community.

2. Provide opportunities for collaboration to foster community impact economically, educational and socially.

3. Embrace the community through programs that seek to strengthen its citizens, local businesses, and organizations.

4. Sponsor cultural events which teach the diversity and beauty of the African diaspora.
