Come volunteer at the St. Vrain ReStore! We would love to use your gifts, skills, and talents in 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, and 6 1/2 hour shifts. If you'd like to customize your volunteer hours, let us know and we'll work with you to find you an ideal shift time.

Volunteers may do the following tasks while in ReStore:

  • processing donated materials and goods with staff
  • loading and unloading truck items or donations from vehicles (we practice the buddy system)
  • organizing, cleaning, and straightening
  • stocking sales floor
  • assisting with customers
  • testing appliances
  • repairing furniture
Additional areas may be available. If you have an idea of how you would like to contribute, let us know. If you are volunteering as a group, please contact us so we can accommodate you.

Why volunteer with us?

  • Make an impact in the community.
  • Meet new people. You never know who you'll meet while volunteering.
  • Learn new skills and use your talents.
  • As an alternative to building, come support Habitat's mission in a unique way.

About St. Vrain Habitat

Location:

P.O. Box 333, 303 Atwood St, Longmont, CO 80501, US

Mission Statement

Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley has been building simple, decent, affordable homes for those in need throughout our community. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is "to put God’s love into action, bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope."

Description

Based in Longmont, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley has built 72 homes locally and 130 internationally. Our homes are sold to qualified family partners at cost with a no-profit mortgage. As homeowners repay their mortgage, the funds are invested into building more homes for deserving families. We select homeowner families based on their need for adequate shelter, their ability to pay for a Habitat home, and their willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity, including taking financial and homeownership classes. All homeowners contribute "sweat equity"; they work in partnership with the affiliate and other volunteers, contributing up to 500 hours of volunteer service.
