The Salvation Army Food Pantry is looking for volunteers to help pick up donations from local Tops stores, and bring them to the Pantry on S Salina St location. Our pantry serves over 400 families every month, and donations from our community are a huge help in serving those in need. Pickups usually happen around 930am and there are usually staff or volunteers at the pantry willing to help you unload. This opportunity is available every weekday. Description
The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Are has been assisting people in this community since 1883. Last year we served 30,000 people in Onondaga County through 40 programs ranging from our food pantry, shelters for the homeless, licensed, quality day care for low-income families, outreach and counseling for runaway teens, housing, parenting and life skills training for young mothers, senior services and food and gifts for disadvantaged families during the holidays.
