Mission Statement
The Pensacola Humane Society is committed to improving the lives of companion animals in our community through advocacy, adoption, education and sanctuary.
Description
The Pensacola Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill animal shelter. We receive no funds from national, state, or local government entities and instead rely on donations from individuals and businesses in the community. Since our inception in 1943, the Pensacola Humane Society has been dedicated to re-homing cats and dogs and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. Each year the Pensacola Humane Society adopts out around 1,000 animals, receives over 6,000 visators, and takes in over 850 dogs and cats. In 2015 we furthered our commitment to responsible pet ownership by opening our low cost spay and neuter clinic adjacent to the shelter.
