During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We are looking for compassionate and friendly individuals that love cats, have good people skills and have a desire to be a "match-maker" for cats looking for their forever homes. Be part of the team that helps people fall in love with our animals!
Volunteers are needed to staff adoptions hours at our Milltown Adoption Center every week (we have a rotating schedule and are looking for commitments of 2 or more days per month). You will not be responsible for making adoption decisions but instead gathering information from prospective adopters and helping them to find the right animal to adopt within our organization. We pride ourselves on our positive interactions with the community - often providing support and resources for pet owners.
Volunteers must be able to work independently, have reliable transportation, be at least 18 years of age, handle the cats with love & care, recognize the signs of illness and communicate promptly and effectively with other volunteers. Training will be provided.

The mission of the Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. We will help decrease the number of cats and dogs being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of our adoption, trap-neuter-return, and education programs. The vision of the Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society is a world where every companion animal is respected, fed, warm, happy, and not in danger of being killed because it is temporarily homeless.
Our values and guiding principles are:
Compassion: Goodwill and respect for all living creatures.
Success: Effectiveness will be judged by the extent to which animal lives are saved and improved and by the positive experience of the people we contact.
Leadership: We lead by example - developing, promoting and sharing great new ideas and programs to help animals.
Transparency: We are open and honest in our relationships and interactions.
We'll work with your schedule.
