The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a 5-a-side soccer for blind and visually impaired athletes in Portland, OR. The event will take place on the at Irving Park in Portland. We are looking for volunteers to assist in guiding our athletes through the basic skills of soccer. Volunteers should have some experience with soccer, but do not need to have previous experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired. We encourage anyone with an interest in sports and helping others to come and join us on this wonderful ride!

The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
