Group Respite Coordinator

This position is responsible for coordinating the on-site needs for the Memory Loss and Support Group that occurs the second Saturday of every month at the Normandale Lutheran Church. This includes:

• Opening and closing the Normandale Center for Healing and Wholeness (NCHW)
• Putting education session coordinator bag in the designated room
• Putting the support group facilitator bag in the designated room
• Collecting sign in sheets for the education session (make sure they are labeled with date and instructions to turn in before leaving)
• Collecting sign in sheets for the support group session (make sure they are labeled with date and instructions to turn in before leaving)
• Collect materials at the end of each session and return items to NCHW office.
• Facilitating respite care for Memory Loss care receivers while their care givers are attending the education and or support groups. The Respite activity plan, materials needed and care receiver names will be provided to the Respite Coordinator by the Volunteer Coordinator)
• A brief 30 minute training is necessary before taking on job duties
• A volunteer stipend starting at $12.50 per hour is available
