Photographer/Videographer Volunteer/Intern

MCRD Museum Foundation - San Diego, CA

The photographer/videographer volunteer/intern will provide day-to-day support for the MCRD Museum. This internship will offer a hands-on opportunities to grow and expand your photography and videography skills. Applicants should also possess strong photo editing skills as well as excellent Photoshop and InDesign skills. Some graphic design skills also preferred.

Applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the development team and Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

 Assist with photography and videography

 Take product photos for museum gift shop as well as photos of museum events

 Use photos for regular social media posts

 Research and explore new social media strategies

 Develop and execute promotion strategies

Requirements:

· Current junior or senior, preferably majoring in communications, marketing or graphic design

· Experience and a level of comfort in all current, new, and emerging social media platforms

· Experience with Photoshop and graphic design skills highly preferred

The MCRD Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) located at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA. The foundation was established in 1988, the Foundation has worked throughout the years to bettering the museum which it supports and preserving the history of the United States Marine Corps.
