Our Community Partnerships manager is looking for a program support volunteer for the months of July-August. We need a bi-lingual Vietnamese voluntee to help us gather data and enter data about children’s participation and food preferences into Survey Monkey.
We are looking for a volunteer to assist 4-8 hours per week for 6-8 weeks. The Volunteer can choose their own schedule, but the times must be agreed in advance with the Manager. The Volunteer will work in our office at 750 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA during regular work hours (8 AM - 5 PM). We will provide the computer and training.
Requirements:
- Organized, detail-oriented
- General office experience
- Prior experience with data entry is preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Bilingual: Ability to speak and read Vietnamese-English.
- Ability to promote the mission and activities of SHFB with enthusiasm.

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than 12 million pounds of food each month. We currently serve an average of over 500,000 individuals each month; 60% are low income families and 20% are seniors. By building collaborative networks, we efficiently distribute food by leveraging donations of money, food and human resources. But we cannot do it alone.
