Are you passionate about eating healthy and increasing access to fresh foods? We need you! The Promise Neighborhood Family Success Center (PNFSC) is seeking a volunteer to help the residents of Mickle and Riverview Towers in Camden utilize the Healthy Routes Neighborhood Delivery Program. This opportunity will involve the volunteer helping the residents sign up for Shoprite from Home and assisting the residents with placing orders online. Other locations may also be available.
Shifts are available on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings and we are looking for volunteers who can dedicate 2-3 hours each week to help families order groceries.
The Healthy Routes Neighborhood Delivery Program is a partnership with Shoprite that helps the residents of Camden City get groceries delivered to set locations with no delivery charge. The program seeks to help being fresh produce into Camden City which lacks an adequate amount of supermarkets. The program aims to provide residents with a way to increase healthy food options and reduce the reliance on high cost or lower quality corner stores.
