Volunteering with a Local Breast Cancer Organization

We have begun planning for events and activities for 2019 - and leading up to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October - and thinking about ways in which we can increase awareness in the community, raise funds to help those in need and engage people around this important issue. Among other event and activities this year, we are partnering with Orlando Sports Foundation and AutoNation Cure Bowl for a Race/Walk on September 15th at Fort Mellon Park in Sanford and for their main event on December 21st at Camping World Stadium. We will also be doing our annual breast cancer awareness "Pink Day"/Health Expo event at the Oviedo Mall on Saturday, October 5th (from 12:00 Noon to around 4:00pm). We will need volunteers to help us on these days to do a variety of tasks, including staffing info & game tables, promoting chance drawings and sharing information with attendees. Prior to these events, we will also need help with some office administrative work (e.g., preparing letters, answering the phone and making calls, making copies, putting packets of information together, and doing mailings to companies). We also need volunteers to serve on our planning committee and to represent us in the community in raising awareness and promoting Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
