The McHenry County Historical Society and Museum seeks special event volunteers to help set up and break down and work shifts at our Annual Heritage Fair (2nd Sunday in July) and Annual Cider Fest (1st Sunday in October)
Volunteers are needed for the following areas:
Pre-event tent set up on the Friday afternoon before the events, early morning set up on the day of the events, staffing various stations during the events, and event breakdown the afternoon of the events.6432 MAIN ST, UNION, IL 60180, US
We engage and educate current and future generations by preserving and sharing McHenry County history.
Established in 1963, our members, staff, and volunteers have a 60-year-plus record rich in preservation, education, and entertainment contributions to McHenry County.
We create learning experiences and events. We focus on local culture, organization, and family history. We collect and care for notable artifacts. We participate in the activities of like-minded organizations throughout McHenry County.
Besides operating the museum, the Society plaques historic sites and structures, holds adult programs and arranges various school and adult group tours.
