The Community Shelf provides fresh perishable food items to community members with food insecurities. Assistance is needed with unloading and preparing Food Rescue delivery of fresh perishable foods for distribution to community members.
Duties and activities include:
Unloading delivery truck onto movable carts
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Appropriately handle/mark/package food per procedures
Unload food and product onto shelves and into refrigeration/freezers
Dispose of trash and cardboard boxes as needed
Provide direction and customer service to clientele as needed
Need good communication skills and attitude
Deliveries are generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am - 1pm. Select days and times that best fit your schedule.
