Tar Heal Paws is an animal assisted activity program that delivers support and companionship for patients, visitors and staff at UNC Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Center for Rehabilitation Care (CRC), Hospice Home in Pittsboro, and WakeBrook in Raleigh. Must have your own dog who is registered with Pet Partners, https://petpartners.org/Pet Partners.

If you desire to make a difference, to touch a life, to learn while helping others, or just to have fun, UNC Health Care's Volunteer Services can find the right place for you! UNC Hospitals has three categories of volunteers: Community, Undergraduate, and High School (age 14-18). We offer a wide variety of unique volunteer opportunities throughout the entire UNC hospital system. Our many volunteers play an integral role in delivering first-class health care to you, your family, and the entire state of North Carolina.
