The mission of the American Public Works Association Utah Chapter, in an effort to maintain and develop safe and effective Public Works services in Utah, is to provide leadership advancement, professional progress, and industry enrichment, for future growth and development in Utah communities.

  • Provide a forum for education opportunities and information exchange
  • Ensure quality and diverse programs
  • Assure and enhance the image and professionalism of Public Works
  • Expand and build on relationships and partnerships through other groups and organizations involved in the industry
  • Develop annual meetings in cooperation with partnering organizations.
  • Recruit new and retain existing members
  • Provide leadership and advocacy for City, County, State and Federal elected, appointed officials & employees, Public Works Directors, City Engineers, Operations, Parks & Rec, Fleet, Sanitation, First Responders, Public Relations, Civil Engineers, Inspectors, consultants, learning institutions, utilities, contractors, Department of Transportation, suppliers/vendors, and like organizations.
