The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion volunteer provides a ministry of support and presence to Roman Catholic patients, family members, employees, students, and volunteers of Summa Health. The position meets the faith needs of persons who wish to receive the Holy Eucharist.
Requirements:
- Practicing Roman Catholic and understanding of the church teachings and sacraments
- Certificate of Commission as a Minister of Holy Communion
- Reference from a parish priest
- Reference from a former/present employer
- Training from Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services
