Pancreatic cancer is the world's toughest cancer. With a 5-year survival rate of just 9%, pancreatic cancer is currently the 3rd leading cause of cancer death in the United States, but is quickly poised to become the second. The Jacksonville Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead our November Awareness Campaign Committee.
November is pancreatic cancer awareness month and we need help to turn Jacksonville - and all of Florida - purple! As the chair of this committee you will lead the committee to plan and execute awareness campaigns in our community by working with local businesses, schools, faith groups, civic organizations, and more! The sky is the limit as we Wage Hope and Demand Better to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer patients and work to improve outcomes for patients.
Training and resources will be provided to be a successful chair of this committee. Most work can be done remotely, but we ask for members to be timely in their communication and response times. You can learn more about the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and our programs at www.pancan.org.
