About

PurpleStride Louisiana is a family-friendly 5k run/walk event and is the signature event of the New Orleans Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. All of the proceeds from PurpleStride Louisiana support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. When you Wage Hope at PurpleStride, you join a vibrant community of survivors, impacted families, loved ones, researchers and advocates committed to rewriting the future of this deadly disease.

The Media Chair is a key member of the PurpleStride planning committee. This person (or committee of persons) will work to create, implement, and manage a media strategy for PurpleStride Atlanta. They will build and cultivate relationships with local media, secure media coverage for the event, and help identify, pitch, and flag story opportunities that could generation local or national media coverage.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is willing to work with the rest of the PurpleStride planning committee to play a key role in the success of this event. Training and support will be provided to be successful in this role. This role can be done remotely leading up to event day. PurpleStride Atlanta will take place on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at New Orleans' City Park.

Purple ribbons don’t rewrite the future of pancreatic cancer. You do. Even if you don't have a personal connection to pancreatic cancer we welcome your involvement in helping us end the world's toughest cancer.
