Looking for volunteers who are compassionate and have big hearts!
Volunteer will provide companionship to our patients. Many can benefit from just having someone to talk to, having a friend that can listen.
Volunteers will also provide respite to give the family member a break.
Volunteers can also assist with fundraising events, community health fairs, and other local events
"We Honor Veterans" , looking for veteran volunteers that can sit with veteran patients and share special stories while serving.
Clerical support, to fill all volunteer requests, data entry, phone skills, computer literate.

Hospice El Paso provides comfort, care, hope, and choice to patient's at the end of lifes journey while guiding their loved ones through the grief process.
Description
Hospice El Paso provides palliative care to pedicatric and adult patients with a life limiting illness of 6 months or less.
Our volunteer department at Hospice El Paso provides patient/family support. We provide companionship, respite and transportation to our patients and our families. Some patients don't have family or friends and feel lonely, depressed and can really benefit from company. Volunteers will provide a friendly, stimulating conversation. We also provide respite to give the family member a break. So that they're able to step out of the home and take care of they're own needs. Such as doctor's appointments, run errands or even take a nap. Our goal is to give the patient and family the support they need with the assistance of our wonderful volunteers.

- Volunteers must be 18 years of age if they are to be assigned to companionship visits with patients. Volunteers 16 years of age and older can participate in all other assignments.
