Gardens are good for everybody - including the volunteers who help keep them thriving (good exercise, fresh air!).

Needed - a small team of 3 to 4 volunteers to help on a regular basis. This opportunity is perfect for a corporate group or team from a community-based organization. Teams can choose a schedule to suit their needs.

Community gardens provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables which can help to improve dietary habits. In addition, maintaining a community garden helps promote physical activity. The Edgemoor community garden needs volunteers to help maintain the garden.

Activities include, but are not limited to preparing beds with soil and weeding.

Minimum age to volunteer is 16 years.
