HONEY Project is partnering with Girls. Inc to bring H.O.N.E.Y PRoject's Healthy Heart Program to one of their 1st grade summer programs!

The programs will run from 9:30-12:00pm both days and we need volunteers to help teach lessons in the "Healthy Heart" Program, including assisting with running the obstacle course.

Training for running the course and teaching lessons is simple and straightforward, so to value everyone's time, training will be done on site.

Please reach out to info@the-honey-project.org if you have any questions!

About HONEY PROJECT

Mission Statement

Providing hands-on nutrition education for at-risk youth, empowering youth to change the future of their own health.

Description

The H.O.N.E.Y Project was created in 2015 by Metropolitan State University Nutrition alumni when they noticed that current Elementary school curriculum left a gap in nutrition education. Many diseases that face American adults are caused by a lifetime of poor nutrition, and can be prevented by introducing healthy eating habits at a young age. H.O.N.E.Y project has created hands on nutrition curriculums and physical education that provide accurate nutrition information on the circulatory system, digestion, healthy eating, diabetes, and heart disease. We offer our programs to schools or organizations that wish to empower their students by giving them a foundation of knowledge that helps students take the future of their health into their own hands.
