If you want to create fun, beautifully designed motion graphics and animations that teach millions of kids math and reading , this is the right job for you! We’re looking for a multi-talented Motion Graphics Designer who doesn’t mind flexing his or her creative muscles by embracing a wide-range of responsibilities in the motion design process, including producing, designing, and animating 2D experiences in the form of web videos and other video assets.

You will work in an fast-paced environment to create animated fantasy content and educational animations that evolve quickly through the iterative creation process. Along the way we'll also ask you to create beautiful experiences and have fun expressing your artistic talent with motion design!

Your killer skills:

  • Enough experience as a Motion Designer/Animator
  • Fluent with storyboarding and directing informational graphics
  • Absolutely mastery of 2D animations using Adobe After Effects
  • Excellent sense of motion design, beautiful animations, cinematography, graphic/information design using typography, iconography and layout design
  • Ability to work quickly and adapt work speed based on requirements for the quality of the design (i.e. prototyping vs. final render)
  • Organized and methodical with projects, while being a self-manager
  • Passionate about the motion design such that you are a knowledge expert of styles, ideas, and trends
  • Advanced with Adobe Photoshop, proficient with Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong desire to work in the educational games space
  • Receptive to feedback and iterative/experimental design methodology
  • A beautiful portfolio for us to see your impressive works of art
  • Passionate about education and creating beautiful visual experiences for kids
  • Entrepreneurial at heart and interested in learning new skills to help a small team create something really big!

Icing on the cake:

  • 2+ years working on motion design geared towards children in the education industry
  • Interest in coding for web based animations (javascript, Greensock/GSAP, CSS3)

This is a volunteer position. There will be no financial compensation. Our organization is 100% volunteer run. We welcome volunteers located anywhere in the world, as long as they can connect reliably to the Internet.
