Our Visitor Center has outdoor educational displays with decks and walkways. Small repairs are needed for these fixtures. Use of saws, hammers and measuring skills are required. Work is outdoors and under shady trees !

Mission Statement
The Forest Resource Education Center (FREC) offers educational hikes and programs to community groups and schools to promote appreciation for New Jersey forests.
Description
FREC is the public outreach division for the New Jersey Forest Service. Our facility includes an exhibition hall and classroom located within 865-forested acres located in central New Jersey.
Annually we host about 1500 students on 1.5-hour educational hikes along our variety of forested trails. Volunteers, with environmental backgrounds, are needed as Hike Leaders for student groups as well as adult community groups.
