ORGANIZATION: Civil Air Patrol

  • 12 people are interested

The Civil Air Patrol is looking for responsible adults interested in working with the CAP cadet program. This is a leadership development program for youths 12-21 who are interested in learning about aviation and/or the military.

CAP is the official auxiliary of the US Air Force and while we wear military-style uniforms, we are civilian volunteers.

Cadet Program Leaders would be expected to attend weekly meetings (held at 6:30 PM on Thursdays in Little Rock) and occassional weekend activities. Most meetings focus on teaching about aerospace, emergency service (search and rescue) skills, and basic military knowledge (drill, customs, etc.).

Those interested can also obtain training and participate in CAP's emergency service missions, though this is not required.

We have 11 units throughout the state and all are in need of cadet program leaders.
