4-H is a Youth Development Program, part of Cornell University Cooperative Extension, that creates opportunities for youth ages 5 to 19 to learn and develop life skills that may assist them in becoming responsible adults. 4-H Program in Onondaga County works with youth from rural, suburban, and urban areas in Onondaga County. 4-H'ers participate in fun, hands-on learning and life skills activities, supported by the latest research of land-grant universities that are focused on three areas: Civic Engagement, STEM, and Healthy Living activities.

The intern will work closely with the 4-H Onondaga Team and other CCE Onondaga Programs and partners. This is a volunteer position, requiring about 15-20 hours/week for 6 weeks commitment. We can also plan this opportunity to fit into course credit or work study requirements. Once you are well oriented with the requirements of the position, much of this work may be permitted to be performed remotely, with regular check-ins in person. We are looking for someone to start in the fall (if available, beginning in the summer is also an option).

Compensation

This is a volunteer unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain course credit and to seek out "work-study" grants with your college, if that is an option.

Application

Please send your resume with a cover letter. In the cover letter you should identify which of the responsibilities and areas of fundraising listed in the internship description above you are most interested in (there is potential to tailor the internship to focus more on what you're most interested in), what semester you are looking to intern, and the estimated days and times you will be available to work.
