Senior Grocery Box distribution day occurs every third Friday at Center 50+. The program provides low-income seniors with a monthly box of USDA commodity foods. The distribution volunteer will help seniors in the Senior Grocery Program load their food boxes in their vehicles at Center 50+. This is a limited commitment (once a month) volunteer opportunity for individuals interested in working with seniors.
Duties include:
-Assist setting up distribution at Center 50+ ~15 min before distribution time (set up table, signs, etc.)
-Help seniors transport their grocery box to their cars or help them place it in their cart.
-Assist with tear-down and moving left over boxes upstairs to MOW office
Qualifications:
-Comfortable on feet for 2 hours
Time commitment:
-Distribution is once per month occurring on the third Friday. The distribution window is 1pm-2:30pm.
-Volunteers should expect to be at Center 50+ between 12:45pm and 2:45 pm on distribution days.

This food may be a hot meal served at a shelter, a free community meal served at a church, or an emergency food box from a food pantry.
