Welcome to our ESL Practice Program at The English Language Center!
The ESL Practice Program needs volunteers to assist our adult English language students with one-on-two writing tutoring.
Evening Writing Partners:
- Wednesdays and/or Thursdays, July 18th - August 23rd
- 5:45PM to 6:45PM
- 1 hour per week (6 weeks)
As a writing partner (one-on-two tutoring), you would be helping students with homework from their writing and grammar classes as well as helping them improve their overall writing skills. Writing tutors should be able to assist students with English grammar and punctuation, forming paragraphs, brainstorming for ideas, organizing their writing, and using tools like the dictionary and thesaurus.
Volunteers are asked to commit only one hour per week, though we are happy to have you more often if you like. Our students are very motivated and fun to work with, and they are very appreciative of any help you can give.
