Description
Wolf Road Prairie contains several native communities, including prairie, savanna and wetland and is home to more than 360 native plant species. The numbers of resident and migratory birds, amphibians, insects, butterflies and mammals are too numerous to count. Join the Save the Prairie Society at our restoration workdays. Training, tools, and supplies provided.
Requirements Workdays are suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under 18 require signed parentspermission. All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver from the FPCC. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. We also suggest applying sunscreen (if weather conditions are sunny) and bug repellant spray (we usually have extra if you forget). Wolf Road Prairie trails are considered rough, please dress accordingly or we will ask you to volunteer another day for your safety.
