Searching for ART MUSIC POETRY INSTRUCTORS IN CHICAGO.

Volunteering for AMP Community Arts Program (AMPCAP) is more then just community service - it’s life enhancing for all involved. Paired up with young people whose dreams far surpass their immediate circumstances, AMPCAP is just one of the magical results. Your ideas, your time, your expertise and your willingness to make a relationship with a child or a teen, even if just for one night a week, will open up their minds to seeking opportunity and moving towards their goals - not to mention how it will open up your own artistry and creativity.

Mission Statement

Organization Mission AMP Community Arts Program is a 501c3 nonprofit youth development through the arts program. Our mission is to help at-risk, inner-city youth develop the self-discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem necessary to lead positive and productive lives.

Description

We prepare young people ages 16-24 for life's challenges and opportunities through an arts education program that fosters listening skills, learning skills, creativity and responsibility. We believe education and participation in the arts contribute to the healthy development of young people, their families and communities. In an era of reduced funding for the arts in schools, we are committed to providing young people with a gateway into the arts.
