The Opportunity:

Join our Oakland Symphony team as we produce our annual Independence Eve Celebration Concert at Craneway Pavilion. We are seeking festive volunteers for the following roles:

- Greeter
- Information & Pedestrian Traffic Guide
- VIP Check-in
- Chair set-up & tear-down (must be able to lift folding chairs)

Enjoy an evening of music and fun while making this event possible for hundreds of East Bay families!

The Event:

The Oakland Symphony joins forces with the City of Richmond to present a free Independence Eve Celebration at the Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond. This free event is fun for the whole family, with live music, food, an instrument petting zoo and spectacular fireworks over the bay! The centerpiece of the evening is a free concert by the Oakland Symphony conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring Sousa marches, music from the movies, singalongs and more.

The Craneway Pavilion, located on 25 waterfront acres, delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a large outside patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond’s fireworks display. In the nine years since its inception, this event has become one of the Bay Area’s most popular and talked-about Independence Day celebrations.
