Every Veteran Suicide Is Preventable

Roughly 20 veterans and one current military service member take their lives every day. Despite the government's best efforts, including the establishment of suicide crisis hotlines, it has been unable to stem this suicide crisis. It is clear that more must be done and that we cannot keep applying old thinking to the problem and expect to solve it.

That's where the Objective Zero Foundation comes in. Objective Zero has designed the first-ever crowdsourced support mobile app designed to instantly and anonymously connect veterans and current service members-in-need to a support network (known as the Objective Zero Ambassador Network) comprised of fellow veterans and service members, as well as behavioral health specialists, spiritual counselors, and concerned citizens. Users can connect to this support network via voice, video, and text. They can also access a library of resources and training designed to provide them support in times of need.

Objective Zero is seeking Volunteer Coordinators to help expand its ambassador and volunteer networks, spread the word about Objective Zero, and raise much-needed funds to support its mission.

Expand the Objective Zero Ambassador and Volunteer Networks

  • Register potential Objective Zero Ambassadors (veterans, current military service members, behavioral health specialists, spiritual counselors (clergy), and concerned citizens)
  • Build partnerships with community and professional organizations with similar missions
  • Recruit Objective Zero volunteers

Spread the Word About Objective Zero

  • Disseminate marketing materials and information about Objective Zero across multiple mediums (email, social media, traditional media, and at events)
  • Host information meetings and open houses to tell people about Objective Zero
  • Build partnerships with community and professional organizations with similar missions

Fundraising

  • Disseminate fundraising materials across a number of platforms (email, social media, traditional media, and at events)
  • Host fundraising events (races (5k, 10k, half marathon, etc.), open houses, film screenings, fitness competitions, galas, or any other event aimed at raising funds)
  • Write grants to obtain federal funds
  • Contact corporate charity offices to register Objective Zero with them

It is important to note that Volunteer Coordinators need not perform all of the aforementioned duties. We're looking for people with skills in any of these areas.
