Seeking volunteer's that are compassionate and caring.
Do you have a desire to serve others? Working with individuals at the end of life can be a truly heartfelt experience.
Avalon Hospice is in great need of Volunteer's who are interested in visiting with Hospice patients.
Support Services May Include:
- Visiting patients at home, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facility
- Providing companionship and a listening ear
- Reading a story
- Painting nails or brushing hair
- Giving a hug or playing cards
- Providing relief for a few hours while the family rests or runs errands
- Light housekeeping
- Delivering supplies
We are currently seeking Volunteers in the following areas:
- Elgin & S. Elgin
- Bloomindale
- Schaumburg
- Streamwood
- Addison
- Carol Stream
- Wood Dale

Orientation and on-going training is required. We want our volunteer's to feel confident when providing support with patients during their visits.
