Mission Statement

Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. strives to create a positive relationship between horses and humans. We are in place to dedicate our time, knowledge, and skills to help homeless, unwanted, abandoned, abused, and neglected equines in transition, to help them heal emotionally, physically, and behaviorally, in order to become whole again and find permanent loving adoptive homes. Animal Guardians serves as a networking rescue working specifically with the Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County Animal Shelters, to place horses in need. We serve to educate the public about responsible horse ownership & aftercare in equine senior years.

Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. is a rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming program located in the San Fernando Valley, and West Ventura County. We do not have a central facility. All horses are foster cared for or boarded. We board & foster out our horses in Simi Valley, Fillmore, & Valencia, CA. We are a Humane Society of the United States Safe Stalls Network Program Rescue, and a Member of The Homes For Horses Coalition. We are actively participating in the Humane Society of the United States Plan 4 Progress Training Program with The Fund For Animals. We are an education-based rescue.

We'll work with your schedule.
