The Polk County Fire Rescue Cadets program is a youth organization sponsored by Polk County Fire Rescue for youth who want a career in Fire Rescue Services. Cadets will attend monthly meetings and shadow public safety officials.

Cadet membership is open to those age 14 who have completed the eighth grade or who is 15 and not yet 19. Membership is limited to 30 active positions but a waiting list is held for when positions open.
