Become an inaugural member of the newly formed Saint John Paul II National Shrine volunteer program!

The Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, DC is looking for dedicated individuals to help others learn more about the Shrine dedicated to our great patron. Volunteers will have the opportunity to serve as greeters and exhibit docents while also assisting with retreats, feast day celebrations, and other special events. Volunteers will help to share the Shrine’s profound depth and beauty, and all volunteers will receive hands-on training on how to serve the pilgrims and visitors to the shrine.

Short-term opportunities are available for those who may wish to assist only during special events as well as long-term opportunities for those who wish to assist regularly (e.g. weekly). Our greatest need for volunteers is on the weekends.

Applicants should have a strong knowledge of the Catholic faith, especially of the life and legacy of Saint John Paul II. Knowledge of the Knights of Columbus is also a plus. Volunteers should be VIRTUS certified or willing to take VIRTUS training.

Those interested in joining the new volunteer program at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine should complete our intake form, which can be found here: https://goo.gl/forms/gjkcE5LcF1zbLtNE2. Please visit our website at jp2shrine.org to learn more about the Shrine. Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to speaking with you about becoming an inaugural member of the volunteer program!
