What is the Monster Drawing Rally? We're glad you asked!
Southern Exposure's Monster Drawing Rally is an annual (17 years and counting!) live drawing event and fundraiser where over 120 artists work side by side. As spectators spy on the creative process, sketches morph into full-fledged artworks - immediately available for affordable prices. All proceeds directly support Southern Exposure's programs.
It's a wild and wooly four hours of volunteering, but you'll have a great time. We're hoping to fill the following positions:
Visitor Check In
Artist Check In
Set Up
Bartender
Runner
Art Seller
Cashiers
Southern Exposure (SoEx) relies on hundreds of volunteers to help make our work possible. We are always looking for individuals interested in getting involved with the organization and who want to become a part of the SoEx community. Volunteering at SoEx is one of many ways to be a part of the art community in the Bay Area. Volunteer activities include assisting with the education programs, gallery operations assistance, research projects, distributing SoEx flyers, helping at events, fundraising, securing in-kind donations, general administrative support and much much more.

Mission Statement
Southern Exposure (SoEx) is an artist-centered non-profit organization committed to supporting visual artists. Through our extensive and innovative programming, SoEx strives to experiment, collaborate and further educate while providing an extraordinary resource center and forum for Bay Area and national artists and youth in our Mission District space and off-site, in the public realm.
Description
An active presence in the Bay Area since 1974, SoEx is continually evolving in response to the needs of artists and the community while engaging the public in artists' work. Central to our mission is to remain the most accessible space for visual artists to produce and present new work, learn, and connect.
