We are looking for someone to join our team who is dedicated to learning more about the non-profit event planning world from an insiders perspective. We are hoping to have someone from early May to late October to help coordinate Heart Walk and CycleNation events.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Data entry/database management: register event participants, update participant contact information, accurately record donation information in a timely manner, pull reports (training provided)
  2. Health fair representative: attend health fairs and health expos on behalf of the AHA, help maintain a positive customer experience when working with the community
  3. Community outreach: help raise awareness of the AHA mission through event promotion; update online event calendars and distribute event posters to community groups.
  4. Design and logistics: create flyers, in-kind donation solicitation, event logistics, day of event activities, and sponsorship activation details.
  5. Administrative support: filing, stapling, creating info packets, emailing, making phone calls, internet research, creating event collateral, and writing thank you cards.
