ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Alaska Region

Purpose: Leads a team on a day to day basis in providing casework and recovery planning, providing support with CAS 2.0 and CAN Tools, and/or Community Recovery activities.

Reports To: Recovery Coordinator: Southcentral
Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in providing standardized casework and recovery planning services delivered with compassion and care
  • Ensure follow up casework and recovery planning services are provided to clients consistently and clients are screened for supplemental direct client assistance
  • Provide mentoring when a casework or direct client assistance correction is needed
  • Meet regularly with DAT leaders to ensure services are coordinated
  • Provide subject matter expertise

Time Commitment: Choose your availability schedule: daytime or early evening hours. After training, may be able to work from
home.
Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the American Red Cross
* Experience as an effective Recovery supervisor
* Be kind, caring, resourceful, knowledgeable
* Demonstrate interest in learning about community resource organizations
* Demonstrate the ability to work well in stressful situations and in a team-oriented setting
* Must have the ability to lead and manage others and resolve conflicts as needed
* Be computer proficient: CAS 2.0, email, general computer skills
* Be able to follow current Red Cross disaster guidance

· Disaster Program Manager/Specialists
· Casework supervisors (Recovery CRP supervisors)
Casework manager
Length of Apptmt: Once trained, may remain active as long as required training is updated.
Continued participation and leadership will be evaluated and renewed yearly based on performance.
