The Plant Exchange, an Oakland based non-profit, is partnering with ITK Culinary to host a Kitchen Exchange event, where community members can bring and swap kitchen items with their neighbor. This event will also include cooking demonstrations and is part of The Plant Exchange's mission to promote sustainability, resource sharing and community building.
We will need a dedicated crew of volunteers to assist with the event:
Who: The Plant Exchange, ITK Culinary, The East Bay Community
What: A Kitchen Exchange, swapping kitchen items with others in your neighborhood
Where: 1410 62nd Avenue, Emeryville, CA 94608, Suite D (street parking and garages available)
When: Saturday June 23rd - volunteers needed in shifts, 9am-11am and 11am-2pm (can stay whole day if you want)
Why: to promote sustainability, resource sharing and community building

Description
The Plant Exchange is a nonprofit environmental organization that has served Oakland and the Bay Area for over 15 years. As of 2023, we closed our warehouse and are operating pop-up sales and plant exchanges across the Bay Area where we have occasional volunteer opportunities
