Make-A-Wish Colorado is looking for volunteers with medical backgrounds (EMT, paramedic, First Aid/CPR, Wilderness First Aid/First Responder, nurse, doctor, etc.) to help at our aid stations during the inaugural Trailblaze Challenge Colorado. This is a 23.7 mile hiking endurance event on the Colorado Trail on August 11. We will have 5 aid stations setup along the route with water, food and medical professionals. You will be responsible for helping hikers with minor injuries like blisters, rolled ankles, bug bites, etc. We will provide you with all of the first aid materials you'll need. We serve children ages 2 1/2 to 18 years old from all over Colorado. We involve their families as well in wishes that range from special trips, to meeting a celebrity, having a special gift, to being someone else for a day like a fireman or a ballet dancer.
