Many seniors and adults with disabilities want to stay in the comfort of their homes, but need extra support for their bodies, minds, and hearts. Moreover, their caregivers need a break to re-energize.

Enrich the lives of cognitively and physically impaired seniors and adults with disabilities by engaging them in ceramics hand building techniques in a relaxed, supportive, and fun environment.

  • Work with the Activity Coordinator to develop and schedule ceramics activities.
  • Create ceramics projects appropriate for adults with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Co-facilitate arts & crafts group with our staff facilitator for 5-10 participants.
  • Assist participants with completing projects.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ceramics hand building techniques.
  • Experienced teaching others.
  • Open communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with cognitively and physically impaired adults and senior citizens.

Variable weekday hours between 9:00am-4:00pm Commitment of 6-8 hours a month for a minimum of 3 months.

Program orientation and on-going feedback and coaching provided. Join a team of dedicated and fun staff in improving the lives others.

Adult Day Services: Community-based medical and social models of age. Our adult day centers offers daytime respite services for caregivers and provide a supportive, therapeutic, and empowering environment for seniors and adults with a variety of health-related needs
