The Job & Leadership Training program at Mission: St. Louis needs someone to provide a meal for class! This is one class of an intensive 8 week long program designed to equip men with the skills, experience and relationships needed to be successful in the workplace, their homes and their communities.
To help foster a comfortable environment for the men to grow and build relationships, we include dinner for the men to eat family style. We need volunteers to provide this meal! You can cook at home, use our kitchen, purchase the meal, or make ahead and freeze (for us to just heat up). Our only requests are that it is ready and at Mission: St. Louis with enough food to feed about 35 guys and that it contains no pork.
Don't hesitate to reach out to nikki.kamp@missionstl.org with any questions.
Thank you!

Mission Statement
Mission: St. Louis' mission is to empower people to transform their lives, families and neighborhoods. We are committed to transforming the city of St. Louis by connecting individuals/groups to communities in need through education, empowerment, and economic development.
Description
Education
Mission: St. Louis believes education is the primary imperative in the empowerment and development of both individuals and communities. Through education, we can work along side individuals to inspire and develop indigenous leadership.
Empowerment
Mission: St. Louis seeks to empower people to grow and develop in all aspects of their lives. Empowerment means engaging people as equals, not as dependents of charity. To do this, we enter into dynamic interpersonal relationships based on mutual respect, trust, integrity, grace and compassion. Through empowerment, we are able to work together in achieving personal and community pride based on a regenerated sense of worth.
Development
Mission: St. Louis desires to develop people and communities holistically through economic and spiritual development. Lasting, authentic change only happens from the inside out. This means that we must work to bring about long-term change in both economic and spiritual spheres. We believe this can only come from building trust through authentic relationships.
