Mission Statement

The mission of Puppet Show Incorporated is to preserve, advance and promote the performing, visual and creative art of puppetry through an ongoing series of educational outreach programs in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Our goal is to inspire imagination, social emotional learning and community through the global art of puppetry. A core objective is to impact diverse audiences by bringing educational puppet programs to them at low, and in some cases, no cost. Puppet Show Incorporated brings the magic of puppetry to groups that might not otherwise have the opportunities to experience live theatrical performances.

Description

Puppet Show Incorporated brings live theatrical performances to children in the community through outreach programs. We are a mobile puppet theater that travels to libraries, museums, group homes, schools, after-school programs, hospitals and other non -profit agencies to bring puppetry arts to children. Our organization is comprised of career educators who affirm the use of puppetry to teach social emotional learning skills that are essential to success in school and success in life.
